My reflection: As a British student studying abroad, how can I create the value of AI

The existence of artificial intelligence has enhanced students' learning ability and teachers' teaching ability (Nguyen, 2023). As a British international student, I have had two years of study experience in the UK. During my learning experience, my teacher taught me how to use AI correctly and avoid problems such as academic misconduct. This blog post will reflect on the value that AI created for me during my study in the UK, as well as think about how I will use artificial intelligence in the future.



How to use AI 👂

When I am completing reading tasks, I usually use artificial intelligence. Chatgpt, as an excellent AI software, can help me quickly summarize the content of literature and lock in the key information of articles. When carefully reading literature and encountering problems I don't understand, I can also turn to gpt for help, asking it to explain the deeper meaning of this sentence in the context. Of course, when writing, I also use gpt to help me generate a writing outline, improve my language, correct grammatical errors, and enhance the train of thought in the article.















When using Notebook LM to read literature, it can help me create and edit notes, record important information and thought processes, and facilitate subsequent queries, citations and analyses. Meanwhile, Notebook LM supports multi-source uploads and can integrate documents in various formats such as YouTube videos and audio recordings, enabling better centralized management and analysis of information from various sources.

As a domestic AI, Doubao can play the role of a virtual emotional companion and supporter, communicating with users at any time, offering comfort, encouragement and advice. Unconstrained by time and space, it is always on standby 24 hours a day. It can generate warm responses that meet your needs based on your specific experiences and emotional states, and you don't have to worry about sensitive topics or comments.





How will AI be used in the future   👊

Although AI offers great convenience to learners. However, there will also be some problems during the usage process. For example, false literature and false data are generated. Therefore, when users use these materials, they need to recheck. When using AI, users should use it rationally to avoid academic misconduct caused by excessive use of AI. Meanwhile, AI merely serves as an auxiliary tool to help users think and generate answers, but essentially it cannot replace humans in thinking.

In the future, when using AI, precise positioning can be utilized to obtain learning resources suitable for oneself, improve learning efficiency, and provide personalized learning paths (Zhai et al., 2021). Meanwhile, the visual thinking of AI can better help understand the logic between knowledge, thereby enhancing critical thinking and writing skills.

I hope that in the process of applying AI in education in the future, caution is needed to avoid exaggerating the technology and misleading users, and it is clear that there are limitations in aspects such as simulating human intelligence (Selwyn, 2022). At the same time, encourage more affected user groups to participate in the discussion to achieve fairer, more sustainable and education-oriented AI education applications.
